A week visit turned into a 2 year stay in South Korea

Traveling can be challenging, yet very interesting and a once in a life time opportunity.  I am a army wife and my husband got sent to his next duty station which was set to be in South Korea.  His time gone was set to be a year, through all the hassle of getting a sponsor was very difficult, if you are in the military you know exactly what i am talking about. If you don't its like playing darts with spaghetti okay.! We still needed to get it done in order for me to be able to move with him ,regardless of our struggle he had a set date and had to leave. The days went by super quick it felt as the time evaporated.  It came down to the day the last day.. together with all the stress and depression we had to say goodbye, i couldn't seem to say goodbye enough. Soon after many tears and hugs my husband was our of my sight.
As time went on many facetime calls were made back and forth missing each other, and this time the days were moving slower and slower. After waiting 5 very long months we decided i should go visit him for his birthday which was in September and so we did ! we purchased myself a ticket to flight out the next week. Keep this in my mind i've never been on a plane in my WHOLE life!! i was more excited than scarred.  A 12 hour flight isn't a picture perfect first experience but i did it anyway. Movie after movie on the plane being offered so much food what is this?they feed me too ! what more can i ask for. I started counting down the hours on the screen the movie was playing on, i fell asleep woke up 10 hours left, fell asleep woke up 9 hours left, talk about being anxious! and finally we were landing. Next came the hassle of waiting for my luggage not to mention everything is in a total different language i'm not familiar with i was stressing.

Suddenly all the adrenalin shot up through my body when i saw that familiar face.  My husband and i finally reunited after all the times i've been dreaming of this day its finally here.  Amazingly during the week i was in South Korea we got approved for a sponsor !!! this couldn't get any better. The only problem was my husband had to extend his stay here for 1 more year so not only were we staying one year but two now.  Its tough being away from our families but we have to stay strong for our families and for each other.

We decided to explore and enjoy this, not everyone gets an amazing opportunity like this its once in a lifetime.  South Korea is very beautiful, crime free,  peaceful and quiet. We have visited quite a few of Korean restaurants so different than what i'm familiar with, but yet so delicious. Most of the restaurants are similar and offer the same foods, but can i say i fell in love with the dumplings.! And When we can,  we go out and about to explore and see beautiful sights of Korea. We have visited the beautiful river, its so peaceful and i cant explain how stunning it is. As well as the streets walking downtown with many small shops.

I can't wait to enjoy our whole time being here i have to get comfortable for this long 2 year journey, but time flies when enjoying yourself.  I'm happy to share my amazing journey with you all.
